Not sure but he may not be comfortable sharing, not sure why not with others that have also shared that they are homeless...but whatever the reason, I do hope that if he is homeless that he is also gathering supports for himself.

Does it really matter whether Mr. Cheng is homeless or not? If he is, then supporting him would be more helpful I would think, and if he is not,
I do know that when I was homeless last year, he helped me alot with tons of good advice and helped me get a fresh start with connections. I only wish him the best!
Some people may not be so comfortable with sharing personal challenges in their lives, especially if there are folks out in cyber land who will find fault with their life circumstances.

I am surprised that someone would have posted on James' blog using my name "wjcheng". On the other hand, it is very easy to find out it is fake. Why? Because I never posted anything against homeless, and I have got people like Tracy deliver money to James at Queens. James also went to Tracy's father pick up money, and Sherry also met James at bookstore ...etc. So what I would tell you is that someone else posted fake messages using my name "wjcheng"...

I don't know why people think I am homeless. Just like when you call George Bush and ask him if he is homeless; he would not know how to respond to you... Try to pick a policeman and ask him if he is homeless, see how he would react? Anyway, I would not know how to react. There are part of the YIM message that James Ramsey did not post or not get it is as the following:

Dear James, I think the person used my name wjcheng to post may have some issue with you, and that's not me. I know this person because she wanted $500 from me, and I waited at the Jersey City PATH station but she did not show up, and I was not able to loan her money. On the other hand, she was not homeless at the time, and she has access to more resources than any homeless I know.

I still want to help her, but she would not believe me any more. But you know, helping a person is never easy, especially, helping homeless. Once you help a homeless to move off street, the best thing is that s/he disappear... S/he seldom come back to help other homeless.

Whenever you heard any homeless trying to communicate with me but was ignored by me; it was because I don't know how to respond to rude message. Some black homeless blamed me race discriminate, but, in fact, I helped lots of black homeless or pool families. I did not evict the black tenants from Harlem when they don't pay rent... There were a black teacher did not pay me rent for 3 months, and I did not evict her.

I don't have to tell you all this, but one thing you want to remember is that whether I help homeless is not important, the important thing is that God helps those who help themselves.

I have a meter telling me if the homeless is fine. If the homeless person I help treat me nice, I know s/he still need help. Once the homeless person become nasty to me, I will be very happy because I know s/he either found a job or getting better help and resources that they don't need me anymore. They are so-called graduated from my list.
